Vineyards AI Lab Youth Creators Inspire Community at Techweek 2026
Last Sunday, Vineyards AI Lab and its talented group of young AI Creators were invited to participate in the Youth Techweek event hosted by East Coast Bays Library. The showcase brought together curious minds, supportive families, and community members eager to see how New Zealand’s next generation is shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
Throughout the event, the young creators presented their novel AI projects, delivered confident and insightful speeches, and displayed a series of research posters highlighting their achievements and learning journeys. Their work spanned a wide range of AI applications—from computer vision and natural language processing to creative AI tools and socially impactful innovations.
Audience engagement was exceptional. Visitors gathered around the poster displays, asked thoughtful questions, and took time to understand the ideas behind each project. Many attendees expressed admiration for the students’ creativity, technical skill, and confidence, often offering enthusiastic thumbs‑up and words of encouragement.
The event not only celebrated youth innovation but also reinforced the mission of Vineyards AI Lab: to democratise AI education and empower young people to become creators, not just consumers, of emerging technologies.
The success of the showcase reflects the growing interest in AI among New Zealand youth and the importance of providing platforms where young innovators can share their work with the wider community. Vineyards AI Lab extends its gratitude to East Coast Bays Library for hosting the event and supporting the development of future AI leaders.
