Introduction:
"Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a crucial field within AI that focuses on the understanding and manipulation of text data. Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT have made significant strides in NLP, enabling tasks such as language translation and text generation. While LLMs can be helpful tools, it's important to use them responsibly and critically evaluate their output.
A pressing concern is the potential misuse of LLMs, such as using them to generate academic papers or essays. As AI models become more sophisticated, it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish between human-written and AI-generated text. David and Yulin will explore this issue further and investigate potential solutions to detect AI-generated text."
Achievements:
They learned fundamental knowledge about natural language processing (NLP).
They successfully finished the "Can AI Tell if Your Essay is Written by AI?" project.
They also learned how to make a web app demo to demonstrate the model (also listed in Projects).
They presented his project to the community at East Coast Bays Library.
